Life With Lex LLC was imagined during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when human connection was rare and students faced unprecedented challenges.
At the time, I was teaching Drama at a K-8th school and instruction was a mix of online and in-person learning.
Once we transitioned back to full-time, in-person classes, I noticed that many students were craving the arts, yet the isolation had left them feeling shy, nervous, and hesitant to connect, speak, or perform.
In response, I started an afterschool Drama Club and began offering private vocal and acting lessons to support my students’ creative and personal growth.
These lessons provided a safe and encouraging space for students to imagine, create, and build confidence during a trying and uncertain time.
The success and impact of these initial lessons ultimately birthed Life With Lex LLC, establishing a business centered on empowering youth through the performing arts.
From its inception, LwL LLC has focused on providing mentorship, skill development, and opportunities for young performers to shine both on stage and in their personal lives. We intentionally foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence that lasts far beyond the classroom.
Now, almost five years later, LwL LLC has trained and seen our Performers score Superiors at Thespians, cast in professional musicals, and place in the Theodore Gibson Oratory Competition, To top it off, one of our longtime students was accepted into PACE University’s competitive Musical Theatre program!
More than the accolades and medals, I’m most thankful that LwL LLC has been able to live out our Mission Statement:
To be Christ led, allowing Creativity to be stewarded well, and connecting to our individual and shared Communities through the Arts.
So…
In the next five years, Life With Lex LLC will offer an onsite Creative Hub.
This space will make room for services such as headshots, podcasting, workshops, and performance opportunities.
The Life with Lex LLC Creative Hub will foster a safe and innovative environment where youth and young adults can train, perform, and grow together!
Art, in any medium, requires exploration, a willingness to change and demands transformation through the process. Much like the caterpillar takes time to become a butterfly, it is my prayer that you will trust Life with Lex LLC with your time, so we can help you transform into who God always made you to be.
